This is a colorful and evocative Vintage California Plein Air Impressionist Seascape Oil Painting on artist board, depicting the famous "Lone Cypress Tree" of Pebble Beach, California. The tree stands stoically to the left side of the scene, while an orange hued sunset fills the sky. Calm dark ocean waves are seen lapping at the shore in the lower right corner.
Signed: "Pigatt" in the lower left corner. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work?
This piece likely dates to the 1960's. Approximately 17 1/2 x 20 1/4 inches including frame.
