One friend noted that the painting looks a little like Victorian wallpaper - I took that as a compliment.

It is a nice lively but soothing image to live with! The painting is on a sturdy commercially made stretcher and is painted around the sides (gallery wrapped), so it does not need to be framed. The stretcher is a little more narrow than the ones I make myself, so framing it eventually might be a good idea. There are many layers of paint and the colors are fully saturated.

It will arrive wired and ready to hang. About Me I've been a full-time artist for 30 years.

But of course, not every work in a show sells (oftentimes not even the best ones), galleries go out of business (they can even be more unstable than artists), the artist travels on...

So besides brand new paintings I have an archive of unsold, maybe even never shown paintings. Art for sale here may have been made very recently. Or, it may be 10 or more years old. I stand completely behind all of my work that is for sale, here, whenever it was created.
