Fine Antique Early California Plein Air Seascape Oil Painting, Signed 40s

This is a beautiful and Fine Antique Old Early California Plein Air Seascape Oil Painting on canvas, likely depicting a beachside scene at Pebble Beach, California. This work depicts a lone cypress tree, standing starkly against crystalline blue waters. Pale beach sand, punctuated by powder blue wildflowers dot the landscape. This work is signed in the lower right corner, but unfortunately the signature is illegible to me.

Perhaps you recognize the artist or their work? Approximately 20 x 24 inches. This piece likely dates tot he 1940's. Very good condition for age, with some mild craquelure and edge wear in some places please see photos.
