California Plein Aire Oil Painting by Jesse Don Rasberry Listed Artist

Hi this is a peaceful painting of a path through the trees with the mountains in the distance. I took one photo is the sun and it brightens up the image where it really is either dawn or dusk and captures those soft purple tones that come at the end or beginning of the day. The image is 24" by 18" on a canvass covered art board. The frame is very nice and measures 33 1/2" by 27 1/2". The frame has some very minor wear with a spot where the gold has rubbed off on top right corner and a spot of gold leaf has come off where a price tag was place over it.

The underside is gold beneath so it does not stand out. The frame is heavy and was expensive. It has a hand written note on the back which dates the sale of this piece to 2009 and it may have been painted earlier as the previous owners bought it directly from the artist.
