BENNETT BRADBURY (American, 1914 - 1991). Important member of the Carmel & Laguna Beach School of Mid-Century California Plein Air Painters.

Original Oil Painting on Canvas - Framed. Titled "Oceans of Love" - 1986. Hand Signed: Signed By the Artist, in Oil on Canvas And in Black Marker, verso via dedication. Framed without Glass : Gold Gilt Frame in Wood, narrow linen cloth fillet.

Provenance: Tres Lunas Fine Art, Rancho Mirage, California, US. Born on February 23, 1914 in Wrentham, MA, he was notably the brother of the acclaimed Farenheit 451 author Ray Bradbury. The painter initially worked for Walt Disney studios as a colorist before moving to Laguna Beach to focus on his own artistic career and developing the body of work for which he is best known. Bennett Bradbury was a familiar figure in the Laguna Beach school, and in the Carmel area, where he died in 1991. After working for Walt Disney studios, he dedicated himself full time to his painting. He moved to Carmel in the 1970's and remained there until his death. His style is instantly recognizable, as he moves around a generous amount of glossy paint, often with a palette knife. This item is in the category "Art\Paintings".
