Antique Old California Plein Air Landscape Painting, Eaton Falls Younglove

This is a beautiful and well-done Antique California Plein Air Impressionist Landscape Painting, watercolor painting on paper by well-known and early Pasadena Impressionist painter Ruth Ann Younglove 1909 - 2002. This work depicts the famous waterfall at Eaton Canyon Falls Trail in Pasadena, and likely dates to the 1940's - 1950's.

This wonderful painting is created with a soft and colorful palette and would look lovely in any home. This painting is approximately 19 1/4 x 37 1/4 inches including frame. Actual visible artwork is approximately 10 3/4 x 28 1/2 inches. There are two old labels affixed to the back of the painting. " The second label reads: "Ruth Ann Younglove Loxley, 1180 Yecum St, Pasadena 3, California.

She grew up in Pasadena. She studied at University of California at Los Angeles and with Orrin White, Bessie Ella Hazen, Helen Chandler, and Belle Whitice. She was the wife of B. Loxley and a resident of Pasadena until her demise on January 17, 2002. Member: California Watercolor Society; Pasadena Society of Artists; Los Angeles Art Ass'n; Laguna Beach Art Ass'n.
